Anything at Anytime is a bit shorter today.
For those of you New to this Blog:
I am 42 years old and have Later Stage Emphysema, thus the Emphysema page.
Now that that is out of the way.
Things here at home have sort of changed. I say sort of because financially nothing has changed yet.
Social Security Finally Acknowledged one of my request for my Disability.
You would not believe the paperwork that goes with it........
Got it all completed as much as I can - now I just need to get an appointment with one of the local agents, which does not seem like that is going to be to bad as she already sent me an email. Then have her go over my paper work and get all she needs from the Dr.'s office and that one should be on the road to somewhere.
Cross Your Fingers, toes, arms, legs, and anything else you can cross in hopes it all goes through for Us.
It would be a Boon for the Family, most especially J and myself.
That by itself was/is an accomplishment of sorts headed in the right direction.
Last Tuesday I wrote short post "A Must Read! (Not by Me)" with an email that had been passed on to me by a Woman I haven't seen in YEARS but if I were to run into her today she would still treat me like "that long lost little brother". I have no doubt with open arms, hugs and tears for me; and for my wife and girls.
I added that email to my post solely for the reason that I felt it was a Good Story and that fit in well with many of the things, sentiments that I have posted here on Anything at Anytime in the past.
I read the whole thing and as things do when we read some of them just blend in with the email/story we are reading. I wouldn't have put it in if I hadn't, as I don't want certain things getting on the site as I like to keep it PG-13 at the most with maybe a VERY very rare R in there. (I don't think I have any of those on here, hmmmmmm, might have to go back and read to be sure.)
That is not what that bit is about.
What it is about:
The very next day I get a call from my Father, telling me he had a conversation with one of his American Legion representatives (for those that don't know - The American Legion is a U.S. wide Group of Veterans that has multiple Post in every single State of the Union) and that person had given him the name of a lady to call at another post in Waco and she deals very closely with the VA (Veterans Administration).
Well, my Father being my Father went ahead and arranged a phone call appointment for me with this lady last Thursday.
So, in trying to keep my Father's good name with his contacts I made the phone call at the first available time he gave me 9 AM -10 AM her time (8 AM - 9 AM my time). I ended up Spending the better part of an hour with her on the phone but she is sending me another bunch of Paperwork to fill out (our Government and anybody dealing with our Government can't get past paperwork - there has to be a paper trail somewhere. LOL)
She believes that I should be in a position to get some sort of Aide from the VA. How much? Not known but any assistance would again be a Boon. Even if it were to just get aid in medications. One of her concerns was that when I was in the Navy, I was on-board one of the Oldest Ships in the Fleet at the time. A (in her time) Top of the line Destroyer Tender USS Sierra AD - 18. In those days Asbestos was the thing to use as insulation. She is not saying it is the Asbestos fault but wondering if the Asbestos could have been a contributing factor in my having my Emphysema show up so early in me.
So, More paperwork for me and a bit for my Dr. and that is just one way she thinks she can help. Hopefully the paperwork will show up next and I will have it started and finished ASAP (As Soon As Possible - for those that don't know).
Again, all of this second little part "Landed in my lap" the day after I posted "A Must Read! (Not by Me)".
I went back and re-read that piece ... interesting little bit at the end that I wasn't expecting.
Now, I will ask my readers that have gotten this far....... Pray, talk to Buddha, Converse with your Greater Being, or whatever you believe in that at least one of these work my way. Just that little bit of help would take a ton of pressure off of J and That would be just AWESOME to give her that little bit.
Part of the reason this is so short today is that I have an appointment today at my Pulmanologist office to Test my Breathing capabilities again (easiest explanation is my lung capacity compared to last year and the year before).
So, I will leave it at that today, and will have something Good for you tomorrow.
Hope You are All having a Great Day!
Danny

Cousin Murphy - hmmmmmm
Here at Anything at Anytime, I was looking back at some of the things I have written and I couldn't find anything about my Cousin Murphy.
The reason I mention this is because yesterday I would have had a good post up for everyone to read and more than likely it would have been the Post to bring the whole Internet to My Blog. I am telling you, yesterday's post would have been that kind of Post.
Murphy that #@^%*@$#@ really jumped out and grabbed me yesterday.
(Well, not me but Jackie and the girls - by relation/connection - Me.)
Murphy's actions did not disrupt us just yesterday but changed how and when we do things for some days to come.
You know what? I think you all know Murphy, just you don't realize it. My Cousin Murphy is famous (or as Annah (at When Red Means Go) would say Famosity) in his own right. He has been around a long time. If it weren't for the fact that he and I are so close, you could almost say he was/is Immortal. He has been around that long.
His disruption yesterday was two fold. He was devious in his actions and Jackie and I were definitely unprepared for him. His first action yesterday was to give Jackie a flat tire and when I say flat I mean FLAT!
Just as I was sitting down to write my post I get a call. Jackie called and said from one moment to the next she had just gone and picked up our oldest from Volleyball and everything was fine, then when she started to backup the tire just was phhhhttttt FLAT. I know it had air in it because I check the tires on both of the cars every couple of days just to keep and eye on them.
I have to I have precious cargo in those cars.
So running out the door I go with hydraulic jack and all and drive up there to get her and the girls and change a tire.
Damn, I am out of shape it took me longer than I recall to change a tire and talk about tired after.......
Anyway, the whole time I was cussing my Cousin Murphy. After I had it changed and the spare on the car I had her drive home ahead of me, that is when Murphy struck again!
If you know who my Cousin Murphy is yet, No, I did not get a flat. No, Cousin Murphy had something much much better in store for me. Enough so that he reminded me of something that happened to my Father about 30 years ago (Yes, 30 years) when we lived in Germany and my Father was driving my middle brother and I to the airport. For him (my Father), Cousin Murphy had helped cause my Father's muffler to come off of his car on the Autobahn (a place you definitely don't want to loose a muffler) and Dad had to run back down the road to grab the muffler and get it off the road and in the car.
Well, Cousin Murphy did not do that to me but as I am driving home behind Jackie, I am looking at her back end. (Get your minds out of the Gutter!!! I am talking about the back end of her Car!)
Something did not look right and it took me a few minutes and two bumps in the road to see what it was. Her muffler was hanging at an odd angle. I had an idea what it was at that point and it brought back memories of Dad on the Autobahn. When we got home I got under her car and verified what happened the pipe to the muffler cracked and so now Jackie's car is out of commission until we can afford to replace the muffler and get an overhaul done on her car.
We were already planning on the overhaul at the beginning of the year because the car is 12 years old. Now that the Muffler is "gone" she/he (all mechanicals are shes in my book but J calls hers a him) is parked until we can build up funds. Pretty sure you all understand that.
So, have you all figured out who my Cousin Murphy is?
You know the saying "Murphy's Law"?
"If it can go wrong, it will go wrong!"
That Murphy is my Cousin!
He has been around Me and mine so often there is no Doubt he is a relative!
So, of course Murphy strikes again, and I get to become a chauffeur until we can get hers fixed.
Isn't Life FUN?

Multiple Muses
Anything at Anytime would not have been if not for my Muses.
Not to get all dictionary on you or anything like that but "Muse" was in Greek Mythology any of 9 goddesses that oversee/oversaw Science, Art, and Literature. Today we view a Muse as an inspiration to writers, poets and artist.
I suppose most of us would be Glad, and feel Lucky to have a Muse that inspired some of our works.
Am I wrong?
I don't think so; however, you may disagree.
Truly, I believe everyone that takes the time to do what they WANT is responding to their Muse. Bloggers and Writers write. Bloggers and Artist use pictures to show what they Want you to see. Some Love to work on Science projects to try and better our lives. Others enjoy what they do for a living. Is that not Responding to a Muse - an inspiration?
Me, I am more than Lucky.
I am Blessed!!!!!!!!!!!
I have not one Muse, I have many!
My Wife, of which I have written a bit about.
Both of my Daughters, both of which are older but still young enough to Inspire Wonder in the simplest of things.
People and Friends and Yes, You my Readers Inspire me to write many things that I have posted and yet to post here on this blog.
Anything at Anytime was created at the need (Inspiration) of my Wife.
Today's Post was Inspired by a comment on yesterday's post by nothingprofound when he mentioned that Jackie was my Inspiration. He was Right! of course.
Inspiration, or Muse may come to you when you least expect it. You can look for it and maybe find it somewhere around you at home or work. Honestly, I find the ones you don't expect to be the best of them all!

Have I been here? And if so When?
Have you ever gone somewhere you never have been before, but when you actually got there you knew somehow, someway that you knew your way around?
I have had that happen to me a couple of times in my life.
Well today I am going to tell you about the first time.
I was 19 and had just left college, to go to my parents home, after having a Blast my first year at college (Blast by the way is code for Bombed). My parents lived in Germany at the time, beautiful country by the way if you ever get a chance to go. When I arrive I got to know the local area and got my European Drivers License and began to explore the surrounding area.
I got myself a job working at the dinning facility on the Air Base, at the time it was under a German company's contract and most of the employees were German and a few of the girls were my age. Of course we all became friends (yes, the girls my age and I) and they invited me to join them over to the town they lived in so we could all go clubbing together. The town was Hameln. At the time I did not know the place and barely knew how to get there. As I got closer somethings started looking familiar; the surrounding hillsides, the streams etc.... and the closer I got the more Familiar it all became.
The girls had told me the streets they lived on and I was to call them when I got into town for the directions. Once I got into town I didn't need to call, I drove straight to the first girls apartment.
Talk about weird, I had no Problem at all finding the place.
A few minutes after I got to the first girls place she was ready to go and asked if I needed directions to the other girls place and I responded that I didn't think so. 10 minutes later we were at the other girls place and picked her up. Both of them were surprised that I found them all that easily. The clubs I did need directions too.
We had a good night, I got them both home and got myself home.
The next day at work we all were discussing it during our breaks. Apparently both of them lived in very old parts of town and I told them I had never been there but for some reason I just knew where to go. They both looked at each other, and one of the older ladies decided to speak to us in broken English and German. The girls had to translate the German I didn't understand.
Anyway, the older lady (that looked like she could have been my Grandfather's Grandmother) basically said I had an "Old Soul". The girls were as confused as I was by the statement. She went on to explain to us a bit of the history of Hameln and explained that Americans and English referred to it as Hamlin - as in The Pied Piper of Hamlin. Then she laughed at our looks and said "Maybe you are one of the children come Home!?!"
Sort of weird, spooky, and awesome all rolled up into one. One thing I can say is that no matter where I was in Hameln, I never once got lost.
Is it possible to have knowledge of a place with never having been there before? I can't say yes or no for everyone but as for myself I Do think it is possible.
If you have no Idea what The Pied Piper is, look it up and read it. A very interesting tale that will make you think.

Deja Vu and Choices
Yes, Anything at Anytime is going there.
Deja Vu moments - Have you ever had them?
You know those times where you are doing something, anything, and right in the middle of it you are hit with that feeling...."I've done this already!"
Personally, I have them every now and again. I will have them at the weirdest of moments and sometimes I will have them at those "Turning Point" moments.
The times it happens at the weird moments I just sit back and watch it happen. It almost seems as if I am watching a re-run of a show I like on TV. The sad part is they are over far to soon. (They could at least have the decency to be as long as a 30 minute sitcom without the commercials!)
The Turning Point" Deja Vues, now those....
Those......
Well, those are the ones we all should really pay attention to because they are the ones that "MEAN" something. They are the ones that shout out to us - "You better have paid attention!", "The MOMENT is Here!", "We told you. Now, What are You Going to DO!?!?"
The problem with "Turning Point" Deja Vues is that you only know the moment it happens, the situation. You have NO clue as to what is next.
Do you DO IT? or Do you Not?
Turn Left or Turn Right?
Do you Stop or Keep Going?
Do you Hit the Jerk or Just totally immasculate him and make him look like the Total Fool and Jerk that he is in front of his friends and peers? (OK, this last one I think you know what I did!)
All the while knowing in your gut that no matter the choce somehow, someway you have just set yourself to a specific path.
We are confronted with these types of choices every single day. We just don't have the luxoury of Deja Vu all of the time to let us know that we are THERE.
It is nice to have those moments. The foreknowledge that you are at one of those Moments that you know you are faced with a changing choice.
Where do I go from here? Where do We go from here? I don't know Deja Vu left me at that title.
I will say this: Sometimes Dreams are more than just a "dream", they can have real substance that helps us work out what is going on in our lives. I believe that Dreams create Deja Vu moments by pulling everything from our everyday lives and sub-conciousness and putting them all together in "if this, then that" scenerios and the Deja Vues are when we "hit the nail on the head" and everything played out just like in the Dream(s).
Deja Vu is ourselves telling us that this is where we are headed. This is what will happen as a result of this!
Our Choices are what creates the things for our minds to work around and put together with how we normally react to situations and thus the result is a dream one night and a Deja Vu the next week.
So, What is Your Choice?

A Cool Coincidence and MUCH More
As I have written in one of the descriptors for Anything at Anytime: Anything at Anytime - Sometimes even surprising me.
Until the other day I had no idea how true that was.
I was talking to my Mother about this site because I had made some changes and with them living far away I could have her look and tell me if she saw what I wanted her/the audience to see. She did and as Mothers do started talking about what I was doing (about the blog). As you will guess, I got the usual comments about "Oh, you write so well.", "You could have always written like this......", "Why didn't you........." .
Honestly, I don't think my writing is that good but is descent and gets across my point. But being a Parent myself I can truly understand what she was saying, so I swallowed the "Your only saying that because your my Mom."
Somewhere in the conversation we got to talking about one of my previous post The "Quill" and she mentioned a bit of trivia behind it.
First a bit of background: I like History, love to read it and think about what could have happened if..... I also like it because if you pay attention to your History you can get an idea about what is coming.
My Mother is one of those Genealogy Nuts. She just dives into finding out who, what, and where the family has branched out from. She has two different places she keeps track of it all.
Anyway! Back to where I was going.
I had written The "Quill" and our discussion was over what I had written and she was reading it again while we were talking and then she came to the end, the part that talks about the last person to sign the Declaration of Independence - Matthew Thornton.
As she said it exactly: "Oh, by the way we are Related to Him." It was like a bombshell.
Bang, Pow, Boom and all of that stuff.
First thought in my mind was: Now, that is cool. To be able to say that somewhere down the line by some backhanded way I, we (my family) are attached to one of the Greatest Documents in American History! The next thing was: What are the odds that I would choose to write something like that, about that, and mention his name when I did it?
One of those Freaky, weird things that just happen from time to time.
I have had time to think about it since she told me and I still find it to be an awesome coincidence that I would write that, mention his name and to find out after the fact that I am, in some out there extended way, related to one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
Now, after thinking about it, I have a Dilemma! I used to be a Republican, even held a precinct chair position here in El Paso for awhile. Now I am a self proclaimed True Independent. All of the parties; Republican, Democrat, and the Tea Party, have something valid to say about what and how our government does things. All of them are completely wrong with other things they say and do.
Do I, as a descendant of one of the Original Signers, have a responsibility to bring that Document back to Life? As a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and Army have the Duty to tell you all that WE (as a people) need to look at what that Document tells us - Nay - that Dictates to us that WE should do all in OUR Power to make the changes that must be made?!?!
We, as a People, have as much if not more responsibility than those in office. We select them and put them in place to represent US. If they are not doing the job we gave them, then it is OUR Responsibility to vote them out and to elect someone that will do what they are supposed to.
We, as a People, must not forget the whats, the whys and the wherefores that got us to where we are today! Documents such as the Declaration of Independence are/were written as guidelines to provide their Descendants, us (you and me), a path to follow when Governments or representatives over step the bounds.
No one party is responsible for what has and is happening in OUR Government. WE, as a People, have that weight on OUR shoulders. WE the People have, by OUR inaction and lackadaisical attitudes, allowed OUR Representatives to do and think the way they have for so long that Now they BELIEVE THEY KNOW what is best for us and WE DON'T!
There are some well intentioned Representatives in place now. They are far out weighed by the Representatives of Special Interest - mostly the Special Interest of "What is in it for ME!" and the "How can I make monies!" and the "They are Sheep and We Know Best Crowd!"
WE, the People (One Entity), must speak as a Voice, a single Voice, that says "It ends here and it Ends NOW!" "Do as WE say or WE vote you out!" Make them the Unemployed! Make them "Work" for a living rather than Stand on OUR shoulders and tell us to push them up higher. Make them do as they are supposed to do, Represent US or stand down and let someone that will do the job right, DO IT!
WE all must work TOGETHER in order to make things RIGHT!
I Guess I answered my earlier Questions.
