Multiple Muses

Anything at Anytime would not have been if not for my Muses.

Not to get all dictionary on you or anything like that but "Muse" was in Greek Mythology any of 9 goddesses that oversee/oversaw Science, Art, and Literature.  Today we view a Muse as an inspiration to writers, poets and artist.

I suppose most of us would be Glad, and feel Lucky to have a Muse that inspired some of our works.

Am I wrong?

I don't think so; however, you may disagree.

Truly, I believe everyone that takes the time to do what they WANT is responding to their Muse.  Bloggers and Writers write.  Bloggers and Artist use pictures to show what they Want you to see.  Some Love to work on Science projects to try and better our lives.  Others enjoy what they do for a living.  Is that not Responding to a Muse - an inspiration?

Me,  I am more than Lucky.

I am Blessed!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not one Muse, I have many!

My Wife, of which I have written a bit about.

Both of my Daughters, both of which are older but still young enough to Inspire Wonder in the simplest of things.

People and Friends and Yes, You my Readers Inspire me to write many things that I have posted and yet to post here on this blog.

Anything at Anytime was created at the need (Inspiration) of my Wife.

Today's Post was Inspired by a comment on yesterday's post by nothingprofound when he mentioned that Jackie was my Inspiration.  He was Right! of course.

Inspiration, or Muse may come to you when you least expect it.  You can look for it and maybe find it somewhere around you at home or work.  Honestly, I find the ones you don't expect to be the best of them all!

Have you had your MUSE today?

Dime Store Detective

clipartof.com
Anything at Anytime is always trying something different.

The following is to be read in that "Cheap, Dime store Detective" type of commentary.
For those of you "regulars", I hope you enjoy and maybe get a chuckle.

It was one of those nights.  You know those nights that the humidity makes you feel like your in a sauna no matter where you go.  Yeah, that kind of humidity that makes you sweat just thinking about it.

I was sitting at the desk.  I had my feet up and was reading my papers using the light from the windows.  I had the lights out in the office because I didn't want to be disturbed.

Shirley, the girl out front that keeps the Dames and Idiots from bugging me, was getting ready to leave and call it a night.  She is a good girl and makes sure I don't catch any flakes walking into the office.  Every now and then she allows a Dame with "Legs" to walk in.  She knows I'm a sucker for Long Legs.  I think she does it just to see my reactions.

I can hear her walking back and forth gathering her things and getting ready to leave and then I hear the front door open.  Shirley starts talking and telling whoever it is that I am really busy and can't be disturbed right now but she would take a message and have me call her back when I was done.  I couldn't hear what the other woman said but I think I recognized the voice.

I turned in my seat and put my feet up on the window sill so that I was "looking" out the window.  The door to my office opens and I can see the silhouette of a woman standing in the doorway in the window.

Hmmmmm, Nice Shape!

I don't turn around, I stay right where I am and say "I heard Shirley tell you I was busy and would call you when I was done.  I don't have time right now."

There is no response and the shadow leaves the doorway and I can hear her approaching.

I can smell her perfume before she gets halfway across the room.  This woman has done her homework.  I Love the smell of THAT perfume.

I hear her getting closer and know she is near.

I reach back to the desk without looking at her and get my cigarettes and light one up.  Blowing the smoke out into the flickering light of the window watching the smoke as it weaves its way around in the light like a bunch of snakes curling around in a mating ball.

A hand is placed on my shoulder and I turn my head to look at the hand.  Not the person but the hand.  I take a deep breath and inhale the smell of THAT perfume.  The nails are perfectly manicured and Red, dark Red, so dark that it almost appears black in the low light.

Then I feel her move and before I know it her lips are at my ear.  A soft whisper of breath at my ear.  I love when a woman talks like that in my ear.  Just a whisper to barely be heard.  A whisper that makes you wonder if what you heard was what you actually heard.

The other hand comes down on my other shoulder and she says "You know that cigarette is not going to stop me!"  She reaches around and brushes her chest across my back as she takes the cigarette from my fingers and I watch the cigarette as she puts it out in the ashtray on the desk.

Then she spins my chair around and takes my hand and pulls me up with my hands and says "Time to go home Honey."

So of course, Time to go home.

Who am I?

Anything at Anytime is as usually Anything at Anytime.

Yesterday's post seemed a bit lame to me but figured we all could get a laugh over some attempts at art I made over 20 years ago.  I will do better in the future.

Who am I?

Have you ever wondered who you are?

Wondered what your purpose is?

We all have!

And.....

If you deny it you are lying to yourself.

Me, I've wondered who I am many many times.

My purpose in life has changed with my life, as life changes purpose changes.

Where we go depends on "what" and "how" you "see" it.

Bad part is we don't know "what", "how", or "see" most times until it is far to late.

On occasion things present themselves to you/us/me and we can really look at ourselves as it happens.

Depending upon what or where you have traveled/been through directs what kind of "glasses" you look at yourself from.

Things happen to us all and we all need to judge ourselves based upon our own experiences.

No-one has or can judge you outside of yourself and those you allow.

As for myself,  Well.........

I am me and always will be.

The hard headed shit!   Never stays down.  Dumb enough to be an asshole and Smart enough to know when to be.

A Father, A Husband, and a Son.

Principled by my Parents, and other influences (people, actions and non-action) that have shaped my life.

Who am I?

I am Me!

Who are You?

Some Old Sketches

Today I figured I would give you all a chance to see some sketches I did over 20 years ago.

I was in the Navy, had some free time and decided to see if I could try my hand at drawing.  Well, I don't know if you can call it really drawing but........

Don't fault the paper it is all I had.

You decide if you think can figure out what I drew.  Some are easy and others.......

10 Things I Hate!

Anything at Anytime has covered a wide variety of things but I haven't gone here yet.

So,

10 Things I Hate or Really, Really Dislike.

1.  People who can't live their lives when they are Miserable and Just Have to make everyone around them Miserable in order for them to feel GOOD about themselves.

2.  People that don't learn their lesson after at least the third time.  (Got to give them a couple of chances as everyone makes mistakes now and then. Just don't keep repeating the same ones.)

3.  Gas Prices being as high as they are when the Companies that make it are making such a killing on Profit.  They could care less as We all need it they just need to keep pumping up the Prices because We will all pay them.

4.  Clothes that fit you one day and not the Next.

5.  A Government that Doesn't Listen to the PEOPLE!

6.  That we can't all travel in space.

7.  People that Abuse animals/pets.  (No, I am not an animal rights activist.)

8.  Not being able to Help Friends when They NEED Help.

9.  That I don't know what kind of Legacy I am leaving my children.

10. Standing at the curb and looking the other direction and somebody hits the puddle right in front of you.

My list.  Do you have any you would like to share?

Nice shot of the moon from orbit

Awesome Lunar landscape

Just me? or is that an eyeball in the middle?

I just thought this one was cool.

Is this where the Green Lanterns come from?

I always find it interesting and amazing with all the different things you can see and find in Space!

Hope you all have a Great Week this Week and all is well with You and Yours.

Anything at Anytime's First Review!!!

Today shall be a quick post today but I have been reviewed by one site and received my first review score.  Anything at Anytime also received another award but I will get to that on Monday as I have to see whosit whatsits I shall pass them to for the future.

The Magnolia Blossom Review (click and go to her site), reviewed Anything at Anytime (click and go to review) and she said some really nice things and made a few suggestions that as soon as I read them realized she was right and made those changes quickly.

She is a southern woman and has a thing about magnolias so she awards sites based on multiple factors and depending upon how you score per factor you get a Magnolia Blossom up to a total of 4.  Our first Review netted Anything at Anytime 3.7 Magnolia Blossoms.

Thank You for your Kind Review and the Magnolias.  Folks, she has several reviews of sites and gives good straight forward comments about what she sees and thinks on the sites.  Pay her a visit and check out The Magnolia Blossom Review it will be well worth your time.

This is not her only site she has another personal site, helps run (if not the driving force behind) the RBU (button link is on the right hand column), and runs the RBU group in Blog Catalog as well as on FaceBook.

She is a busy woman and helps keep some of us Organized and gathering interesting reads from Members of RBU for you all to Read.

So From me a Thank You L.Avery!

To the rest of you, check out all that she has, you just might find you enjoy the way she presents everything.

DUHHHhhhh!!! Moment in time

Anything at Anytime  a "DUHHHhhhh"!!!!! moment in time.

It's Friday!!! Yes, it is.

Today I just laid around the house, being lazy watching shows and what not.

You know those days.

Well, I am laying and looking at the TV and wondering what I am going to do and when the girls are getting home?  CRAP!!!!!

It's 2:30 in the afternoon and Friday, SHIT!!!!  They are going to be home in just a bit.

I know haul ass and look like I have been doing something.

Fill the sink with dish water - throw in some dishes.

Put a pan on the stove and get out the meat and get it started to fry up for my spaghetti sauce.

Fill the big pot with water for the noodles.

Chop up some fresh peppers to put in with the meat for the sauce.

Back to the dishes now to get some done.

Run into the living room and straighten it up a bit.

Back to the meat and peppers to make sure they don't burn.

Rinse the dishes in the empty sink.  Throw in some more dishes.

Check the meat and peppers.

Run around the house looking for any dishes I missed or the girls left behind.

Do more dishes.

Check the meat and peppers again.

Trash bag is full, run it out to the can.

Wash my hands.

Rinse more dishes, more dishes in the dishwater.

Check the meat and peppers, it is ready for the sauce.

Pour in sauce and mix all together well.  Let it simmer while I get more done.

Dishes done, Living room looks OK, Trash is out.

Call J to find out how soon they will be home so I can cook the noodles and have it all ready for when they walk in.

"Oh, Honey" J says.  "Danielle's volleyball practice isn't over till around 5:30PM.  I will call you when we are almost home."

DUHHHHhhhhhhhhh.

All that running.

Now I am sitting on my hands with nothing to do and with a spaghetti sauce getting cold.

Remember this Guy?
DUHHHhhhhh!!!!!

All that Running just to wait!

VERY IMPORTANT SAFETY Info!!!!!

Anything at Anytime is doing something a bit different today.  I am Passing along in the Loudest way I know an Email that J got the other day because I believe it is important enough that all should read it.

It was written by a Police Officer with No name on it but whoever did it,  THANKS for Taking the Time to do it.  It basically refers to safety tips for women (as most of my followers appear to be women so far) but I think some if not all should and can apply to all of us.

Feel free to copy and email to friends and family or to refer people over here to come read it.

I actually had another post in mind for today but this takes precedence by far.

Subject: Safety Tips Written by a Cop That Could Save Your Life

Please read ALL #10...This could save your life or the life of someone you love!!!!!

"If I can help somebody, then my living shall not be in vain!"

(PLEASE DON'T DELETE, THIS MAY SAVE YOUR LIFE)

Everyone should take 5 minutes to read this. It may save your life or a loved one's life.
In daylight hours, refresh yourself
of these things to do
in an emergency situation...
This is for you,
and for you to share
with your wife,
your children,
everyone you know.
After reading these 9 crucial tips,
forward them to someone you care about.
It never hurts to be careful
in this crazy world we live in.

1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do :
The elbow is the strongest point
on your body.
If you are close enough to use it, do!
2.. Learned this from a tourist guide.
If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse,
DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM.
Toss it away from you....
Chances are that he is more interested
in your wallet and/or purse than you,
and he will go for the wallet/purse.
RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car,
kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole
and start waving like crazy..
The driver won't see you, but everybody else will.
This has saved lives.
4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars
after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit
(doing their chequebook, or making a list, etc.
DON'T DO THIS!)
The predator will be watching you, and this
is the perfect opportunity for him to get in
on the passenger side, put a gun to your head,
and tell you where to go.
AS SOON AS YOU G ET INTO YOUR CAR ,
LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE..

If someone
is in the car
with a gun
to your head
DO NOT DRIVE OFF,
Repeat:
DO NOT DRIVE OFF!
Instead gun the engine
and speed into anything, wrecking the car.
Your Air Bag will save you.
If the person is in the back seat
they will get the worst of it .
As soon as the car crashes
bail out and run.
It is better than having them find your body
in a remote location.
5. A few notes about getting
into your car in a parking lot,
or parking garage:
A.) Be aware:
look around you,
look into your car,
at the passenger side floor ,
and in the back seat.
B.) If you are parked next to a big van,
enter your car from the passenger door.
Most serial killers attack their victims
by pulling them into their vans while the women
are attempting to get into their cars.
C.) Look at the car
parked on the driver's side of your vehicle,
and the passenger side... If a male is sitting alone
in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back
into the mall, or work, and get a
guard/policeman to walk you back out.
IT IS ALWAYS B ET TER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)
6. ALWAYS take the elevator
instead of the stairs.
Stairwells are horrible places to be alone
and the perfect crime spot.
This is especially true at NIGHT!)
7. If the predator has a gun
and you are not under his control,
ALWAYS RUN!
The predator will only hit you (a running target)
4 in 100 times; and even then,
it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ.
RUN, Preferably in a zig -zag pattern!
8. As women, we are always trying
to be sympathetic:
STOP
It may get you raped, or killed.
Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking,
well educated man, who ALWAYS played
on the sympathies of unsuspecting women.
He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often
asked 'for help' into his vehicle or with his vehicle,
which is when he abducted
his next victim.
9. Another Safety Point:
Someone just told me that her friend heard
a crying baby on her porch the night before last,
and she called the police because it was late
and she thought it was weird.. The police told her
'Whatever you do, DO NOT
open the door..'
The lady then said that it sounded like the baby
had crawled near a window, and she was worried
that it would crawl to the street and get run over.
The policeman said, 'We already have a unit on the way,
whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.'
He told her that they think a serial killer
has a baby's cry recorded and uses it to coax
women out of their homes thinking that someone
dropped off a baby.. He said they have not verified it,
but have had several calls by women saying that
they hear baby's cries outside their doors
when they're home alone at night.

10. Water scam!
If you wake up in the middle
of the night to hear all your taps outside running or what you think is a
burst pipe, DO NOT GO OUT TO INVESTIGATE! These people turn on all your
outside taps full ball so that you will go out to investigate and
then attack.

Stay alert, keep safe, and look out for your neighbours!
Please pass this on
This e-mail should probably be taken seriously because
the Crying Baby Theory was mentioned on
America 's Most Wanted when they profiled
the serial killer in Louisiana

I'd like you
to forward this to all the women you know.
It may save a life. A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle..
I was going to send this to the ladies only,
but guys, if you love your mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, etc.,
you may want to pass it onto them, as well.

Send this to any woman you know that may need
to be reminded that the world we live in has a lot of crazies in it
and it's better to be safe than sorry..
Everyone should take 5 minutes to read this. It may save your life or
a loved one's life
