Anything at Anytime started something yesterday and so before the "Meat" of the post I would like to bring to your attention the next on the list of 12 Blogs by Christmas:

Do Not! - I Repeat - Do Not visit this Site after the Kitchen is "Closed"!
Your Mouth and Tummy will kick you for it.  I have followed this guy for awhile and didn't realize until last night that he had this one up and going.  I  saw the title under his links and went... "what, I don't recognize that?"
I Stopped in at 1145PM my time and I was drooling by the time I finished reading.
All night my tummy grumbled.

For anyone that likes to Cook - this is the place you need to see from time to time.
Oh, and if you do it late at night - I Warned You!

Now, let's get to today's Post.

The Beginning til Now

Yesterday, surfing around and checking out blogs I follow I had a few Ideas and was dead set to do a post about a project J does every single year and put it here on Anything at Anytime.  Well, I didn't get the Pictures transferred to my computer (because I still haven't figured out my new Phone yet) so I will do that in the next day or two.

Then as I was getting ready to call it a night, my Blogger Buddette/Friendy Mynx down in Australia put up a post talking about what got her started and why she does her blogs.  She then asked us what got us "Started and Why do we write?".
So... Today's Post is that.

We are at the time of year we Celebrate the most well known Birth to Man - The Birth of Jesus Christ, and it is only fitting to talk about other Births as well.

This last May, J was taking one of the Continuing Education classes that her school district offered (it was a computer class teaching Teachers how to get around the Internet and various resources), and she needed to find a Blog and Follow and Comment on the Blog.  She had (note - past tense) NO Clue what-so-ever!

Hubby to the rescue!  Da ta Dahhhhhh! (Ripping open my shirt and bowing my chest out)
Opppsssss!!!  (Forgot to put my Big "H" shirt on today)

Seriously,  I told her I could get a Blog started for her to follow and comment on and figured that would be it. Maybe a month at most and I wouldn't worry about it after that.  (Good God, Look where it has gone!?!)

*Just as a Teaser* - a link to the first post (other than my Rules) - Here is the First one to get things Rolling.

After J had finished her class, I kept up with the blog and chatting in the google discussion boards and what nots and started following a few others and they started following me.  It has grown slowly but steadily.

I picked the name "Anything at Anytime" because I had No idea what I would write about and figured it wouldn't last that long.  No idea about what I was to write definitely was "on target".  Figuring it wouldn't last that long........ Well, You decide.  I started Anything at Anytime on May 23rd and I am quickly approaching 7 months of writing, not everyday but very near that mark.

Copied today at about 8:30AM
The two numbers I like are the Visits and Pageviews.
Would like to see 5000 visits by the end of the year but......
I will live with what I have.

Looking at that Google Analytic Anything at Anytime is doing OK.  Not Great but Good.  More than I expected.

She (Anything at Anytime (call me sexist, everything is a she after being in the Navy)) has a life of her own now and I write what I feel.  As I said before in other Posts, "I don't have time for BS".  When I write, I write from the Heart.  I know sometimes it doesn't sound great all the time but "it is what it is" and I feel that is the only way to Really put something down.

After J was done with her project she commented about how I should keep it up and also suggested the Emphysema page.  She doesn't always comment but she does read everything I post and talks to me about it here at home.

Now, Anything at Anytime has become my "Job" (wish I could get PAID for it) that I Love.  I try different things and Nobody to stop me or tell me "I can't do that" - Duh..... My Site, I Just Did!

With Later Stage Emphysema, I have to face reality that I cut my life short.  How much?  I Don't Know.  That is the Scary part.

Anything at Anytime has become a way to leave my Daughters Something!  My Legacy (if you will) to them.  A means to tell them things but not "TELL" them.  Something for them to read later and Interpret on their own as things apply to their "Grown" lives if I am not around.

As I write from my Heart I know that sometimes things just don't sound right in the words - If you read my writings and you find something like that, do us both a favor, don't think what you read in your head, Use your heart and hopefully that will clear it up for you.  If not ask me in the comments.

Now for some real Shameless Blog Whoring - :) - If I can get all of you guys to Link me, promote me, tell everyone about Anything at Anytime - I would Love to get to the 5000+ visitors before the New Year.

Mynx, I hope that Answered your Question on your Post Yesterday?

  3. I couldn't get the comment box to work earlier today...I was using a school computer while substituting and they've got all that security software that restricts access. I'm approaching a year on my blog and turned 5,000 a week or so ago, so you're doing great. The look of your blog and your writing has really developed over time. I feel the same way about my blog. I've enjoyed looking back at the year as I've recorded it in the blog. I hope my granddaughters will read the little stories about our adventures one of these days.

Keep up the good work, Dan!

  4. Thanks a lot for the plug Dan.

I hope you reach your targets soon.

  5. You sure did darln Danny. Loving the 12 days concept. Might have to do it next year myself

I have made a change and removed the word verification and your comments will go right up; HOWEVER, if I think it will "OFFEND" my other readers it will be removed.
